Troubleshoot

Remove /public from URL

Create or edit the .htaccess file in your root directory with the appropriate rewrite rules to redirect all requests to the public folder. Alternatively, point your virtual host's DocumentRoot to the public directory.

PHP Version Errors

Next Hour requires PHP 8.2.14. If you encounter version-related errors, upgrade your PHP installation or contact your hosting provider to switch to the correct PHP version.

Hide .env File

The .env file contains sensitive configuration data. Ensure it is not publicly accessible by configuring your web server to deny access to dotfiles.

Debug Mode

Enable debug mode to see detailed error messages during development:

APP_DEBUG=true

Warning: Always set APP_DEBUG=false in production environments to prevent exposing sensitive information.

419 Error (Page Expired)

This error is caused by CSRF token mismatch. Clear browser cookies, check that APP_URL in .env matches your domain, and ensure your session configuration is correct.

500 Error (Internal Server Error)

Enable debug mode and check storage/logs/laravel.log for specific details. Common causes include incorrect database credentials, missing PHP extensions, or permission issues.

404 Error (Not Found)

Ensure mod_rewrite is enabled on Apache and that the .htaccess file is present in the public directory.

403 Error (Forbidden)

Check file and directory permissions. The web server user (e.g., www-data) must have read access to the application files.

Use the recommended image dimensions for optimal display:

  • Logo: 200x63
  • Favicon: 64x64
  • Slider: 1534x450
  • Landing Page: 1440x675
  • PWA Icon: 512x512

Domain Usage

Each Envato purchase code can only be activated on one domain at a time. To move to a new domain, you must first deactivate the old one.

Encryption Key

If you see an encryption key error, run the following command:

php artisan key:generate

ZipArchive Error

Install the PHP ZipArchive extension if it is not already available:

sudo apt-get install php-zip

curl_init Error

Install the PHP cURL extension:

sudo apt-get install php-curl

Payload Error

Increase the post_max_size and upload_max_filesize values in your php.ini file to handle larger file uploads.

File Permissions

Ensure the storage, bootstrap/cache, and public directories have write permissions (777 for VPS, 775 for shared hosting).

Could Not Find Driver

sudo apt-get install php-mysql
